Use this foot to add a decorative touch to your quilting and home décor projects. Like other free motion feet, the addition of small grooves allows cording, yarn, or threads to pass underneath the presser foot. Two different feet are included to match your material’s thickness.
The pintucking foot is used with a 2mm twin needle to create multiple rows of pintucks. The grooves on the underside of the foot make it easy to stitch several rows parallel and evenly spaced from each other
The straight stitch foot is often used on very fine or very heavy fabrics. This particular foot is flat on the underside to provide an even pressure against the feed dogs and it has a rounded needle hole which offers the benefit of more support around the needle to prevent skipped stitches and puckering.
Instead of painstakingly drawing parallel lines on your border work (which can take hours), all you have to do is clip the Janome Border Guide Foot onto your sewing machine, line it up, and start sewing! It is that simple!
The low tack cutting mat is ideal for cutting more delicate materials in the Artistic Edge that may be ruined by too much adhesive. The mat contains grid lines to help keep the fabric straight. This mat is perfect for craft paper and card stock.
Sometimes referred to as the embroidery foot, the darning foot is used for ‘free hand’ embroidery and darning to ensure proper stitch formation, minimize skipped stitches and puckering and also protect your fingers while you move your fabric freely under the needle. Especially beneficial to those just learning how to do free hand embroidery. The open toe version greatly improves visibility of stitches and is especially popular with quilters.
This foot is specially constructed for stitching and/or overcasting. Use with an overcasting stitch to allow thread to wrap around the edge of the fabric to prevent fraying. The foot guides the fabric and holds the raw edge in place and keeps it from puckering, especially when sewing on knit fabrics. Test the stitch on the actual fabric for best results.
